Jack Daniel founded his famous distillery in the latter half of the 19th century having learnt the art of whiskey making and mellowing from a minister with whom he lived having moved away from his home at the age of 6.
His time-honoured traditions are still adhered to today by the 7th master distiller of the distillery, ensuring the Jack in your glass is as good now as it was when Mr JD himself poured it almost 150 years ago.
