About Caol Ila 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The 12 Year Old was launched back in 2002 and is the base level Caol Ila, welcoming you to their range.
This is a true Islay Malt. On the nose there is smoke, herbs, tar, quality tobacco and some salty bacon.
The palate is initially sweet and light before the peaty influence takes hold, adding some flavourful smoke to proceedings.
The finish is a long one with smoke and a peppery sweetness.
