About Kilkerran Heavily Peated Cask Strength Batch 11 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2024 Release
Batch No 11 is the brand new release from the excellent Glengyle Distillery, this malt showcases a different side of the normally lightly peated Kilkerran range. A typical Campbeltown dram, there is a sweetness to the peat and a clear maritime influence.
Influence: 90% Bourbon and 10% Sherry
Nose: A citrus element, with notes of lemon and Key lime pie, along with touches of toasted rye bread and peat smoke.Palate: There are notes of toasted marshmallows and campfire embers immediately on the palate.
Finish: The smokiness carries through to the finish, along with a mineral note to round off this dram.
