About Macallan Night on Earth in Jerez de la Frontera Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 2024 Release

This marks the final release of the distilleries 200-year anniversary and focusses on Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, where The Macallan Exceptional Oak Casks are seasoned with sherry wine.

A Night on Earth in Jerez de la Frontera is matured in a perfectly balanced combination of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks, produced to The Macallan’s exacting specifications. The unique combination delivers a richness and sweetness on the palate. The whisky’s tasting notes of pastry, grapes and anise take inspiration from the Spanish custom of eating twelve grapes before the start of the New Year and the traditional Jerez pastry, Pestiños – a rich, fried dough with sugar and aniseed or honey.

This exclusive release captures the essence of the season that marks the end of the year in southern Spain, a time for togetherness, reflection on what has passed, and a celebration of the future. Inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of Jerez's traditions, A Night on Earth in Jerez de la Frontera is a unique gifting offering that embodies the spirit of festivity and renewal.

Nose: Honey coated Pestiños, sweet raisins, cinnamon, anise, rich oak & vibrant citrus
