About Laphroaig 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 2024
The new 18 Year Old is the pivotal moment in Laphroaig’s coming of age. It has the same strong character but with new complexity as it comes of age from its time developing in ex-bourbon barrels, evolving into a dram ready for you to sit back and appreciate. In the 18 year old, the vanilla note apparent at 10 years becomes amplified, complimented by the sweetness of ripe fruits, ginger and honey, and a hint of fresh mint leaves against deeper, woody, toasted flavours.

Nose: Sweet, vanilla and soft toffee with soft gooseberry, Bramley apple and a touch of cinnamon and freshly baked apple tart.

Palate: Oily, sweet and full bodied with an upfront fruitiness of oranges and nectarines followed by herbal notes of freshly cut mint and heathery honey with subtle ginger spice and peaty notes of iodine

Finish: Sweet and rich with a long savoury and smoky finish
