About Inverdarach GlenAllachie 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
One of the classic 100% sherry matured casks dating back to Chivas ownership given a very subtle twist with 10 months in an ex Caol Ila hogshead by whisky maker Max McFarlane

Bottled at cask strength of 54% this very limited release of only 330 bottles is initially available on pre-release basis only, and with international shipping exclusively from Robbie’s Whisky Merchants.

Nose: Spiced apple, baked plums, bitter chocolate, a suggestion of smoke.
Palate: Smouldering heather, pipe tobacco, ripe cherries, hint of salty breeze.
Finish: Complex, more chocolate, dried fruit.

Ardgowan’s master whisky maker, Max McFarlane, says: “A stunning example of the magic that can be created with great wood. We kept a close eye on this whisky, bottling as soon as the ideal level of smoke and salinity had been imparted. The nose is rich, with spiced apple, plums baked in brown sugar, bitter chocolate fondant, and a suggestion of smoke. The palate has smouldering heather, pipe tobacco, ripe cherries, and a hint of salty breeze. A complex finish follows, with more dark chocolate, and dried fruit'
