About Strathearn Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Independent Scotch Whisky Business, Douglas Laing & Co, marks its distilling debut with their inaugural release of Strathearn Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Created from just 32 specially selected casks and entirely hand-crafted, this truly limited release marks the relaunch of Strathearn under Douglas Laing ownership
Strathearn Distillery is located in Highland Perthshire, an area with a rich Whisky distilling heritage owing to its spectacular landscape and freshwater lochs, Strathearn Distillery is sited on the outskirts of Perth, the first capital of Scotland.
From one of Scotland's smallest distilleries comes one of the country's mightiest malts.

Strathearn is produced by hand, rather than an automated distillation process which involves touch, taste, smell, sight and sound.
The scale of production at Strathearn and the limited nature of this release is a key factor in terms of the brand positioning.
Total production equates to no more than a barrel of spirit produced each day.
Strathearn uniquely uses Maris Otter malt to produce a creamy, malty new make spirit.
Triple Cask Matured: Ex- Bourbon, Virgin and Ex - Sherry oak.

Nose: Anticipate a rich malted barley depth with gentle oak.

Palate: Mouth-coating and syrupy influences of honey and buttercream with baking spice and dried apricots.

Finish: Long, warming finish of home baking and buttery oat biscuits.
