About Benriach Peated Cask Strength Batch 1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This product is presented without a box as illustrated !

A number of years ago the distillery defied convention and added peat to a proportion of their spirit, returning to the original Speyside character and flavour of malts typical of the nineteenth century.

Matured in a combination of Oloroso Sherry casks and Bourbon barrels, un-chillfiltered, natural colour and bottled at 56% alc/vol.

UK allocation only 1500 bottles.

Colour: Bright summer gold.


Nose: Butterscotch drizzled over campfire-roasted apples combined perfectly with crisp white pepper. A gentle, earthy oak character adds to the subtly peated back note.


Flavour : A warm, toasted oak sweetness combines with toffee apples and ripe nectarines. A sweet heather smoke slowly builds leaving a lingering peat note alongside Scottish tablet and rich stewed barley.
