We are delighted to help launch a new series of Old Particular Single Cask Limited Edition bottlings for 2019, inspired by the four Elements of Fire, Air, Earth and Water.
The third release is a Caol Ila 8 year old bottled at 58.5% ABV representing the element earth. All the Old Particular Elements Single Casks are bottled at natural cask strength and are proudly offered without colouring or chill-filtration.
The packaging for these specialist bottlings depicts an intricate illustration of each of the four Elements.
Caol Ila 8 year old distilled in June 2010 and bottled May 2019.
Only 310 bottles worldwide, charged from a Refill Hogshead and bottled at natural cask strength.
Tasting Notes:
Nose : The nose brings bursts of peat smoke, beach bonfire embers and dry ash.
Flavour : Opens with a dry earthy quality, developing to damp wood and peated barley.
Finish :The finish shows charred oak, cured meats and an earthy sweetness.
