Canadian Whisky tends to be blended and made up of multi-grain spirits with a high proportion of corn and rye.
The regulations regarding Canadian whisky are more similar to that of Scotch than American whiskey. Canadian whisky must be ages for at least three years in wooden casks on Canadian soil. The casks must not excede a capacity of 700 litres. Additionally, the finished product must contain at least 40% alcohol-by-volume.
Rye - 70cl / 40%
This Canadian whiskey has a lovely nip and pinch on the nose. The palate is smooth and light and mellow with rye malt flavours. The finish is long with a lot of bite.
